X-Ray Training Team Leader

Contemporary International is seeking an experienced X-Ray Training Team Leader who will lead and direct a team of X-Ray Trainers in delivering a high-quality X-Ray training programme to a high volume of security personnel working for a major international event in London next year. This position will report to the Development & Training Manager.

Responsibilities include:-

  • Coordinate the specialist training of over 3,500 X-Ray Operators, ensuring that aspects of equipment-based and recurrent training are integrated.
  • Liaise with the main training department in the delivery of role specific training to all X-Ray Operators.
  • Design and oversee the delivery of recurrent object recognition training to over 3,500 X-Ray Operators in a tight timeframe.
  • Manage a team of X-Ray Trainers who will work across 7 days per week over several months.
  • Conduct, monitor and assess X-Ray training sessions for a diverse audience at varying levels of abilities in accordance with the values and standards of Contemporary International and its clients.
  • Continually monitor and assess the training team to ensure training excellence and consistency across all X-Ray re-current training.
  • Monitor and assess progress and submit weekly reports on student status.
  • Maintain detailed student training records.
  • Work effectively with various stakeholders to ensure that all students are fully trained and have attended all required training.
  • Ensure all IT is functioning correctly through liaison with internal IT and external providers.
  • Work effectively as a member of the training team to ensure consistent output.
The X-Ray Object Recognition Trainers may also be required to deliver other training programmes.  This position may require some travel as well as evening and weekend work.

Core skills and competencies:-

  • Experience delivering an X-Ray training programme is a pre-requisite.
  • Leadership experienced essential.
  • Ability to multi task and work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prepare sessions, training plans and classes and deliver excellent results within complex and challenging environments.
  • Professional demeanor and proven ability to make critical decisions independently without supervision.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly collaborative with positive attitude and initiative (proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, use discretion, diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to liaise with senior executives of company or client.
  • Flexibility in approach to work and able to work additional hours as required.
Education:Professional qualification in Workplace Training.
Experience:Minimum of 3 years experience as an X-Ray trainer and assessor within the security or aviation industry.
Language: Excellence in English (verbal and written communication).
PC Aptitude: Computer experience in core Microsoft Office packages:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
