Logistics Coordinator

Contemporary International is seeking experienced Logistic Coordinators who will provide logistics and event management services related to training delivery for a high volume of security personnel who will provide security services for a major international event in London next year. This position will report to the Logistics & Scheduling Manager.

The training occurs in a large facility consisting of 14 training spaces which will run for up to 7 days a week across daytime and evening shifts.

Responsibilities include:-

  • Assist in detail planning and of room requirements, props, signage and related materials.
  • Ensure that all training rooms are prepared for the required sessions, including catering, props and check-in desk setup.
  • Coordinate the audio visual and equipment requirements for training (Technical staff will be present).
  • Manage the storage and distribution of training materials.
  • Coordinate usage of training resources.
  • Coordinate check-in, breaks and departure of trainees and trainers during training sessions.
  • Assist the scheduling department with follow up of no-shows, as required.
  • Attend Train the Trainer in order to participate in assessing and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Participate in assessing and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Assist in various additional training projects.
Core skills and competencies:-
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a training and/or logistical role, preferably in security or customer service operations. Similar experience would be considered.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication, customer-service and facilitation skills.
  • Experience with audio visual equipment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience of successfully managing multiple demands to time and quality, against tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality output.
  • Able to manage difficult situations and conflict.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Friendly and approachable.

Education:A Bachelor’s degree would be ideally and a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (A-C grades).
Experience:Minimum 1 year experience in a training and/or logistical role, preferably in security or customer service operations.  Similar experience would be considered.
Language: Excellence in English (verbal and written communication)
PC Aptitude: Experienced in using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
